Hi, I upgraded my unlocked 2G iPhone with T-Mobile from 2.1 to 2.2 After the update was complete, my iPhone turns on to show me a message to connect to iTunes. I connect to iTunes, iTunes says the T-Mobile sim card is not supported although I look at the top of my iPhone and I am getting full service from T-Mobile, so my iPhone is in fact still unlocked. I insert a blank AT&T sim card, iPhone says "Waiting for Activation This May Take Some Time." Sync it to iTunes, iTunes doesn't do anything; just acts like everything is normal. Now, I can use all the features of the iPhone except the phone because I have "No Service" with a blank AT&T sim card. I decided to insert my T-Mobile sim card and my iPhone tells me again to sync to iTunes. So how do I bypass this activation problem? I can still use my iPhone as an iPod, I guess, but it won't do anything with my T-Mobile sim card, except show me I have full service but need to sync to iTunes, and when I do, iTunes won't recognize the sim card.
