Yo I just put a gig of ram in my iMac...1.5 gigs now. Definitely can see the difference in multitasking, cant really see a difference in applications loading. Is there a program where I can test to see if my new stick of RAM is running at its full speed?

P.S. Thought I broke both RAM sticks during installation, I am a n00b.

Why would more RAM make your hard drives faster? If you want applications to load faster buy better hard drives.

All more RAM does is allow you to run more applications without paging out to the harddrive.

System Profiler.

However even if it is NOT running at full speed for some reason there is nothing you can do about it, except sitting back and sucking it up, so I suggest you don't even bother to look at all :p
