upgraded to 15.7 by mistake... can I go to 16?

What phone are you using? There should be nothing stopping you from updating to 16.0 from 15.7 if your phone supports it.

12 pro max... just says up to date.. 15.7

Same thing happening for me. Updated to 15.7 because I wasn't paying attention and now no matter what method I try the phone never seems to see the iOS16 update and says it's already up to date.

You might be able to do it the old fashioned way via tethering to itunes. Or just wait for the inevitable 16.0.1 bugfix release next week.

Do you have a beta profile from 15 on your phone still? If so, delete it, let it restart and then it should show 16. I never did the 16 beta, but did still have a profile from 15 which kept me from seeing anything other than 15.7.

It will probably just turn up later at the bottom of the update page.
