    Hi everyone.

My hard drive crashed out last week.
So I've bought a new one and upgraded to Lion. Everything works fine now.

The weird thing is that my time machine has ghosted out dates past last week when I installed Lion.
What makes it stranger is that it was definitely working after I'd installed Lion as I managed to retrieve a big file I wanted from over a year ago.

But now I try and everything on the right hand side earlier then October the 21st is ghosted out.

the only thing that I can think of that has changed since then is that Time machine told me that my external hard drive had become full and that it needed to overwrite one of the first backups. Which I said was fine.

It seems like since doing that it's decided that I can't touch anything pre-lion.

Anyone know of how I can access these files?

    thanks in advance
