In 2011, macOS introduced Launchpad, but Linux developers had already created a similar menu called Slingshot, which originally had a different name. I remember accusing Apple of copying that menu back then. However, no major Linux distribution adopted a Launchpad-style menu, as Ubuntu introduced their own Unity Menu. At the time, Ubuntu was the leading and most well-known Linux distro.

- Significant performance optimizations, improving the speed of icon rendering, folder opening, and search queries for a smooth, lag-free experience.
- Folder styles are now customizable, and folder pop-ups dynamically adapt to the icon colors.
