Looking at the used market it seems a very high percentage of iPad owners are moving on up....
If your one of them.. Why?
Question is why are you upgrading...
Was it too heavy before, too thick, did a specific App run too slow, etc?
So, nobody here asks themselves if it's worth it? You just do it because Apple says it's newer and better?
Just a simple neutral question folks...
We know it's thinner, lighter, faster with FaceTime and SmartCovers.

And that's the answer, anyone one or a combination of those is why people are upgradingJWe know it's thinner, lighter, faster with FaceTime and SmartCovers.

I used to buy a new MBP nearly every year, this is way cheaper.
Seriously though, 2x faster CPU, & 9x faster graphics means there are going to the a great number of apps released in the next few months that possibly WILL NOT WORK on the iPad v1. iMovie is a prime example, on the Apple page is says it works on iPad 2, and the latest iPhone & iPod Touch only.
This is a same question of asking brad pitt like, "Brad, why are you breaking up with Jennifer Aniston, why?"
Brad: Because Angelina Jolie is so much hotter, younger and sexier.
Does that answer your question?
Family upgrade plan. The wife and I get the new and the girls get the older models which they pay us for. It's been like this for years. Works well.
