Upgrading firmware on "other computer"

I'm a dev and 3.1 beta 2 just ran out while im at work so I get the purple screen. Was wondering if I flash to 3.1 beta 3 on a computer that I normally do now sync with ( my work computer which is also a mac ) will I loose data or will it retain all my information? I hate not having my phone all day but am willing to wait till I get home so I dont loose everything on my phone since last sync.

Tell your boss that you're not feeling well and get home as soon as you can. When was the last time you did a backup?

It shouldn't wipe your data at all. I've updated my friends phones on my computer and everything was there; music, pictures, apps, contacts, etc.
