I bought my 7+ last year through whatever promotion Verizon was offering at the time where I got some amount of credit from trading in my 6S+ (I do not remember) and I make payments every month and I think VZW credits some amount on each bill for the phone. I keep getting messages from VZW indicating I can now upgrade to the X. I logged into the app and it shows that I have paid $500 up to this point and it indicates Upgrade Eligible = $435. Does this mean that I need to pay off $435 of the 7+ before I can upgrade? I'm guessing that I can sell the 7 for around $400, though I do not remember the specifics of the promo that I entered into. It was the main promo that was offered when the 7+ just came out. Anyone know. I would have thought that I would have paid off more of the phone by this time based on whatever the special promo was offering at the time....I'd prefer to hear from people hear before hearing any BS from VZW sales people.
