I also upgraded from a series 4. I’ve used the series 5 and 6. The larger, brighter always on display and the full text keyboard alone are worth it! I can’t wait to finish getting used to it.

Small update? No way coming from series 4. This new watch is absolutely amazing. So glad the flat edges didn’t happen, would’ve been so uncomfortable.
Glad you said this. I ordered mine today for collection tomorrow.

I was still a bit hesitant until now

I also upgraded from Series 4, and I have zero regrets. For the first time in years I am actually hyped about a new Apple product, because of the stark differences between the older model.

While my Series 4 wasn’t slow nor bad in any way, I did start to notice some sluggishness at some parts. More importantly, battery life started to degrade. And now that I have started to exercise more, I’ve had several occasions on which I had to recharge somewhere around 5 PM in order to guarantee I could keep using it for the rest of the evening. So the more glad I am about my upgrade.

Also LOVE the larger screen and the always-on display. Even noticed that there is a compass built in, completely missed that one about the newer models.

Really happy with this

I upgraded from S4 as well and completely love it. The screen is gorgeous, it seems much faster, the always on display is great, and I love the new watch faces (got the Nike Starlight 45mm). Even got to tinker with the new (to me) blood oxygen sensor and neat-o compass. :)

I went S0 to S4 and that was a big jump, and it's nice to go S4 to S7. While I could've probably waited out one more year, I had $200 in gift cards and the S4 to trade-in, and I'll get tons of use out of the S7. Maybe I'll upgrade again around S10 time.

I came from a Series 4 and consider it a massive upgrade. Bigger screen, compass, altimeter, blood oxygen sensor, always on display.. etc

Same here…very pleased with going from 4=>7. I love that the dictation feature in text messages is so much snappier!

What size did you upgrade to? I'm on the 44mm S4, and by default would have gone for the 45mm, but actually thinking about the 41mm instead. Just feel like that'll be a better fit. Anyone else done/doing the same?

I have a 6.75" wrist & started w/ a 44mm AW4 GPS in Dec. 2018 that I've used for many a mile running, hiking, swimming & competitive shooting.

I received a 45mm AW7 GPS nine days ago & ZERO regrets as it's a solid upgrade IMO.

I have had an AW 4 since 2,5 years, and now I decided that 41 mm AW7 would be big enough for me (I have a small wrist). I don't have any regrets, but am absolutely satisfied with the new device and its size is perfect for me.

Not a big upgrade for me, but also 5 and 6 aren’t, ‘cause I don’t think AOD is a feature I want. Altimeter, blood oxygen (also not developed as ECG) worth it, but 7 is just the end of a cycle (start with 4) for cpu/gpu and the start of another for screen and case measures (I believe in 2/4 yrs 42/46mm will be the next step). BTW the real upgrade will be the glucose sensor, then the upgrade really worth the price. IMHO 7’s colour, especially for alu watch, are ugly. Not alu gold (the copper one here from Series 3), not (ceramic) Edition.

S7 is a big upgrade from a S4 no question. So many new features and a larger screen makes it such a satisfying upgrade!

I have series 4. I like the "shiny" stainless case of my 4. I'm looking at the Apple website, and as far as I can see, a "shiny" stainless case is not an option for series 7. The graphite black case appears to be dull. ???

The photos of the watches on the website are awful, they certainly do not reflect the real look… I’ve been looking and pondering what to get and decided to go to the Apple Store to see in person, with a few of my bands.

coming from series 4. the display is noticeably bigger and always-on is nice. I wouldn't say it is a big upgrade. but I'm definitely satisfied. I have 41mm green aluminum with green leather link.
