upgrading hard drive in macbook pro

    I've heard good things about western digital and that is what I put into my last macbook and probably will in my new MBP

    They recommend the 5400rpm 500GB WD Blue over the higher speed Seagate. There won't be much of a difference to be honest unless you reading/writing alot of small files e.g. 1GB of 100KB files. Also the 5400rpm tend to run cooler and quieter and last longer than their quicker counterparts.

    Ordering a macbook pro so going through the same motions.
