Hello,
I just ordered a 500GB Western Digital HD for my MacBook Pro. I will be copying the contents of my current HD to the new one using time machine (or a carbon copy cloner) and I am curious what will happen with my partition and the windows side of my machine. I have nothing stored on that side besides the operating system so I am not too worried but I am curious about what I will have to do to get both sides up and running again once I have the new hard drive installed. Any recommendations?
Thanks!

not sure what your asking.
1. Backed up with time machine.
2. backed up XP Bootcamp partition with winclone
3. used Ifixit instructions to switch out arddrive on MBP
4. restored osx from Time machine.
5. restored xp partition w Winclone

Now have more HD Space :D
