S sbddude macrumors 6502a Nov 7, 2011 #3 your jailbreak (already jailbroken i assume) should have nothing to do with your PC. If you plug it into itunes after changing the HDD, it may ask you to upgrade to iOS 5. Click "cancel, don't ask me again" and move on.
