But I'm eligible for an upgrade on November 10th, 2009. If I pay full price of $500 on June 19th, do I still have that upgrade for a later time? Thanks

Nope, because full price is actually $700.
$500 is early upgrade price which extends your contract.

just about, yeah. i don't know how these upgrades work exactly. i signed a 2 year contract last july, but i'm eligible for upgrade in october.
