    Hi,

I have an old MacPro Tower with a ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB Graphics installed as default

    It seems I can upgrade to a AMD Radeon R9 270x 2GB http://www.macupgrades.co.uk/store/product_info.php?products_id=1032

Would that make much difference ?

Full specs: Mac Pro (Mid 2010)2 x 2.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon 20 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 ECC

    Thanks

Its going to be difficult to answer your question since you didn't mention what software you use...

I recommend you visit the Mac Pro sub-forum where there is A LOT of threads about video cards for the Mac Pros.

The Radeon R9 is far from your only choice. Just about any modern Nvidia graphics card can work with Mac Pros. They offer CUDA which can help accelerate Adobe apps.

Again, please check the Mac Pro sub-forum for a ton of information.
