If you get your logic board replaced, does that mean they have to replace your cpu also becuase all the pins are sodered? If i took mine in to get the whine fixed after they released the merom could i possible get them to put a core 2 duo in there?

The short answer would be no.

The logic board is bound to have changes made to it from the current Core Duo to Core 2 Duo. Different placement of capacitors, chips etc.
