I knew the day would come when I would have to upgrade my harddrive and that day is looking to be very soon.

I've been doing some research about it and it seems pretty easy to change but I have some questions before I go out and buy a harddrive:

1. I know that the internal hdd needs to be a 2.5 inch SATA but before I buy it, will this one work? (Also anyone have problems with a Hitachi before?)

2. Do you recommend just buying an Apple time capsule or should I just go with the internal. I think 500 gigs is plenty but I like the fact that the Time Capsule is 1 TB and acts as an airport as well.

Thanks.

The drive you quoted aint gonna fit in a macbook as it's 12.5mm thick, if you want a 500GB drive try looking into the samsung spinpoint m6 as that's 9.5mm thick and is a standard notebook internal HDD size
