I want to convert a G4 PowerMac, Sawtooth or Mirror, to an hi-performance Intel Mac. My question is, once I gut the G4 internals will I be able to mount all the new components in the same case using the existing brackets? Has anyone done this or seen one. I plan to purchase the G4 this week, but will most likely make this a summer project. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

It has been done but you will have to make a few new screw holes as Intel motherboards don't have the same screw configuration as the Apple custom G4 motherboards do.
