I read on the Apple discussions that you can upgrade a Late 2008 MacBook Pro to 8GB. I'm running on Mountain Lion and I have a few questions, 1. Is it possible? 2. Will Corsair 8GB (2x 4GB) 1333mhz PC3-10666 204-pin DDR3 SODIMM work if it is? 3. If not, what 6GB options do you recommend? Thanks in advance guys.

i tried with mine but it didnt work, i think it was the ram though (bad modules). make sure your efi and boot rom version are the highest version and youll be good.

and no only 1067 speed ram will work

The late 2008 that came out in early 2009 support 8GB out of the box, the ones from 2008 require a firmware upgrade.

I used Corsair Vengeance 1333 CL7 in the 15" from EARLY 2009 without problem. It also works on the aluminium MacBook.
