Hi there,

First post.

I've just been reading around the forum a bit for some answers to my question.

I have a black Macbook and want to upgrade to 2gig of RAM, looks like i pretty much have to throw out the 2 sticks of 512 yeah? Man, that bites. (Apple recycle don't they?)

I'm in Holland/EU at the moment. Any ideas what kind of RAM i should buy? There are Macstores everywhere, but maybe there is a more reliable, cheaper RAM elsewhere? Even online stores i would appreciate.

It's a 2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, also, the best possible performing RAM would be desirable.

Any Ideas?

Many Thanks,

Matt T

Understanding Intel Mac RAM - Mac Guides

Once you have found the right RAM (SO-DIMM PC2-5300 667MHz), as long as the seller will offer a lifetime warranty, you could buy from almost anywhere. Many of the retailers will ship overseas.

You don't necessarily need to throw out your sticks. You should keep them in case you have to return your MB.
