Upgrading RAM Macbook..!! HELP!!!

Hi all,
I just bought a new black macbook (2.4GHZ) this week with 2Gb of RAM.

I wanted to upgrade it to 4Gb, but it would cost me 220,- euro 😱 in the Mac-store.
I can buy 2x 2Gb (DDR2 PC2-5300•DDR2-667•256Meg x 64) for under 100,-euros 🙂 in normal computer store.

My question is: Can i use this ram? or are the rams in the macbook specials?😕

Could you return them if they don't work ? I would suggest you do some search over the net to see if they work with Mac. Normally, they should. Don't buy the RAM from Apple. Memory modules are so easy to replace on a MacBook.

you cant go wrong with them. about €80 for a 2x2gb set. i ordered the wrong memory and they imediatley gave me a refund when i posted the set back to them. very helpfuk folk!

you go onto their site, put in your make and model and it shows you supported ram. easy!
