upgrading the core solo to c2d worth it today?

With the acquisition of the new 2010 mini server, my old core solo (1.5GHz) mini is now going to be used as a minor desktop at home. A t7200 2.0GHz c2d goes for about 100USD. Is the money worth the upgraded performance?

Depends on what you want to do, but I would say yes for sure.

Hmmm...I just had an idea. If I upgrade to c2d, maybe it can be a node for my final cut studio. I wonder if I would have to upgrade to snow leopard from leopard to be a node? The new 2010 mini server final cut is installed on is running snow leopard server.
