I intend to upgrade to the 3g this month and I still have around 8 months of my contract to run.

I also plan to sell my 2g phone and was looking for someone to guide me through the steps I need to take to ensure there is no trace of me or my contacts etc left on this phone.

Will I keep the sim I have at the moment ie will they just swap it over to my new phone or what happens.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Thankyou

When i got my iphone swapped out at the applestore the other day due to a fault the genius basically ran a 4 hour delete content and data ... its on the phone and overwrites the entire filesystem with 0's and 1's apparantly

That should do it

Either that or just restore the phone but don't name it or sync it ... it'll be virgin then

1) Reset the phone (Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase All Content and Settings).

2) Then restore to stock firmware.

3) Sell phone. (That's what the "???" was!)

4) Profit.
