i know there are lots of posts around this topic, but i am still confused...

i bought an iphone off ebay that had been unlocked using anySim v1.0.2

i want to upgrade to the new firmware. how do i do this/how safe is it?

If its unlocked, its not safe at all. You have to un-unlock it in order to upgrade.

anySIM 1.0.2 corrupts the seczone and upgrading to 1.1.1 will brick the phone. You will have to restore it using the virginizer from the iphone elite-team before upgrading. Don't forget to do the iNdepedence Pre-upgrade step before upgrading.

so by the sounds of it there is no easy way for me to upgrade yet.... anyone know if there is a simple GUI method on its way for people like me?!
