Hey all.

I am upgrading from 5 to 5s. Problem is, my line is not eligible for upgrade this year. Another line on my account is. I will be using that line to upgrade. My current iPhone 5 will then be given to a totally different line on the account. The other phones are a 4 and 4s, so we won't be able to simply swap sims.

If I call AT&T when I take receipt of my iPhone 5s (I will be ordering online) and tell them this, will they shuffle things around on their end to make all the sims work correctly?

Thanks.

Yes they will. It's called "cross-upgrading". I do it every year. As long a line adds another 2 years, they don't care what line it goes to.

Also your current SIM can be put in the 5s and the new one switched to the iPhone 5 line all via a call to AT&T.
