    Hey All!

My late 2007 2.4 C2D 15" MBP died a logic board death this past weekend. So, I'm upgrading to the 13" 2.5 MBP non SSD, what kind of improvements can I expect?

    Thanks again!

I used a white Macbook 2.16 core 2 duo macbook from 2007 until September 2012 when I bought the same laptop that you will buy. I am so happy with it. Everything runs so much faster. Going from Intel gma graphics to Intel HD 4000 is a HUGE jump.

Massive speed improvements on just about everything. Were you still running Tiger on it? I upgraded from my early 2006 15" last year to a late 2011 15" and was happy with pretty much everything, though I miss Tiger over ML and SL still. Hope it goes well, you won't regret it.

Improvements all over the board, but still stuck with a slow mechanical HDD lol.

It only hurts if you downgrade from SSD. You will be happy (because you don't know what you are missing). Enjoy the new computer!

Yes, those don't function at all in the 6 devices I own that use them.

    Thanks All!

I had just purchased a 7200 rpm 500gig HD for the now deceased MBP (Logic board blew), I'm gonna throw that in. I know it's not SSD, but it'll be better than 5400...

    Thanks again!

You are definitely going to notice the slowness of the HDD.
    I recommend just getting a 256GB SSD.
It really does speed up your computer.
