Upgrading - what to do.

I've read through several threads on upgrading, but can't find a straight answer.

I plan on paying off my iPhone 5 contract in one shot, selling it to my cousin, and then getting the iPhone 6. However, the threads have brought to attention the AT&T Next Program. I currently have the $65 modile share plan for unlimited talk/text with 2GB data. I was just going to start another contract with my iPhone 6, but the Next looks good.

Thoughts? Everyone seems to have different opinions on this.

i don't think next is a good deal at all, you are basically renting the phone for a premium price, for the luxury of upgrading early. I upgrade every year and buy non-contract every other year, and by selling my previous phone, it almost ends up being the same as a normal upgrade. My two cents.
