hello let me tell you somthing ,they tell you that when you upgrade you need minimum 8 gb ram and an ssd for best performance which is a lil bit wrong .as far as RAM goes make sure you are using at least 12 gb of it,you will get a real feeling of a new imac
i upgraded my imac mid 2011 first to monetary ,then ventura and now i am writing this thread on suquioa on this old machine
and you know what i am using an hdd ,shocked ???? this is real as far as you got a healthy RAM you can do it with HDD also .good luck go ahead
