Upload video to Youtube created with iMovie '08

I am trying to upload a video I created using iMovie '08 (Mac OS X 10.4.11 Tiger) and when I go to choose it from my desktop, it isn't highlighted to be an option. I am also having trouble attaching it to my email.

Use the YouTube option in the Share menu of iMovie?

What is the full name of the file? I take it you are using the Youtube web interface. Perhaps it doesn't like your file extension.
