uploading itunes library to ipad?

I am a potential ipad buyer and was curious if / how you can upload your itunes library to your ipad? obviously I wont be using this as my main computer and my music is one thing i would like to have transfered from my macbook to my ipad.

if this has been covered please advise.

Have you ever used a regular ipod/iphone/ipod touch? Putting your music on the iPad works the same way.
