iOS uploading parametrized data

I was just wondering if there was anyway to upload parametrized data to your ipod app

What i want to do is load data from an excel spreadsheet so i can search on it and retrieve it in my ap. The only way i know how to do this now is to cut and paste data line by line and i think there has to be a better way.
