I tried uploading a Quick Time movie to You Tube and got a 'could not convert file' message. Before I start researching this seriously, could anyone tell me the easy answer? Should You Tube take straight Quick Time movies? This QT movie was from 1992 and has not been altered since then.
Thanks!

try encoding it to H.264 with Handbrake, then uploading.

Youtube is going to do it anyway, you might aswell do it so that your upload time is shortened.

Thanks for the help. I'm currently on a PPC Mac and Handbrake appears to be Intel only. I found something that said QT Pro (which I have) can encode in H.264 but I'm not finding that in QT's menus? Any thoughts on this?

Thanks.

EDIT, The Easy Answer: Issue solved. I simply opened QT and chose 'saved as' a movie which added a .mov suffix which it did not have before. I don't know what other behind the scenes might of happened, but end result it now uploads.

It is an old Aliens (1986) LowRes custom trailer I stumbled across on in my archived DVDs.
