Upper bar icons that I don't want there WHat should I Do?

Once im mygirlfriend's place, wich don't have wireless acess, I was forced to plug an ethernet cable on my macbook. Since then, there's an icon that appears on my upper bar and I can't find a clue on how to make it disappear. What should I do?

There's also that bloody mobile me icon that appears on the same place. What can I do to put both of it out?

Many of the Menu Bar icons can be removed by simply Command-click and dragging them off the bar. They'll then disappear in a little puff of smoke.

Completely unrelated, but to this date I always thought of that "puff" as water vapour, aka steam. 😛
