Hi, this is the story... a friend of mine called me this morning telling me that he had buried in this closet a new never used iphone brought from the US around June, it came with a problem, the upper touch screen as he tells me never worked...

As i have been reading the only solution is to take to apple store. I have family in the states, and is there any chance i send it to them they take it to the apple store will i get it fixed???

It had been passed by ziphone "do it all" how do i restore to original?

Thanks for your time.

I had a dead spot on my iPhone 3G. I tried all the software reset / restore things and when that did nothing I took it to the store and they gave me another one without any hassle whatsoever. It's a hardware issue. Take it back if you can.

Did you have to show any receipt? or you showed the problem and that was it? But the thing is that this is a 2G iphone, will they give me a new 2G? or offer me a 3g?(which i dont want)

haha i wish they would offer a free 3g upgrade.....
Nah they give you exactly what you bring in if they do replace it
