iPod touch uprade iTouch 2.2 to 3.1.2

I have an old iTouch running 2.2 and I want to jail break it on 3.1.2.

If I plug it into iTunes its going to ask me to upgrade to 3.1.3, is there a way to get 3.1.2?

Would I need to uninstall itunes and reinstall a previous version of iTunes?

it won't force you to upgrade because technically you have to pay for the update to OS3

download the 3.1.2 firmware and install it through the restore process 😀
