My Apple.com order for a SIM-free Black 256GB iPhone 7 Plus supposedly shipped on 10/28 and it was scheduled to be delivered yesterday (11/03). However, it took more than 97 hours (4 days) from the time UPS took possession of the package until the package actually departed Zhengzhou, China on 11/01. Moreover, after it arrived on Incheon, Korea, it took UPS 78 hours (3 days) to get the package on its way to Anchorage, Alaska. As of this post, UPS has failed to provide a new scheduled delivery date. This is perhaps my worst shipping experience with an Apple.com order. Outrageous. Have you recently experienced excessive and/or inexplicable delays with UPS on Apple.com orders?

I have had the same but do not blame UPS, I blame the delays on the Chinese government delaying export papers, etc.

More specifically, have you addressed your concerns with UPS before chastising them? Like @Newtons Apple stated, it may not be directly their fault for the delay. Perhaps they can find more answers to your questions.

And no, all of my orders with UPS, correlated with Apple or not, have been flawless.

Edit: Based off your previous thread(s), you seem to struggle with patience.

How do you know all this?

It was so much easier to WALK into a store and buy one on 9/30.

Well the same thing happened to my order. Something is going on in China/Korea, that when the phones arrive there, they are unheard of for 2-3 days. But still my preorder was for October 4-10 and got it on Sept 26 so not complaining.

By looking at the Package Progress provided by UPS online.

I would not be surprised if both the Chinese and Korean governments were unduly delaying clearance of Apple shipments. I had not experienced delays like these before. It makes one curious as to what changed.

I had reason to expect my order to be delivered no later than yesterday. The UPS commitment for its Worldwide Expedited service is delivery within 4 to 5 business days from Asia. Moreover, Apple estimated delivery by 11/2 and UPS by 11/3. I contacted UPS and a customer service representative did not provide an explanation for the delay other than a reference to UPS handling a heavy volume of shipments from China.

Until it gets out of China and back in the USA tracking is crap.

That proved to be the case. Once out of Incheon, Korea, the package progressed rapidly and has already reached its destination. It is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. On another thread a user reported that his order, which shipped on 11/4, got a 11/15 Scheduled Delivery --a total transit time of 11 calendar days! Apparently, UPS has adjusted its delivery estimates to account for delayed departures in China and Korea. With more accurate shipping estimates, there will be less frustration arising from unmet expectations.

Yep after getting out of China it moves quickly with dependable tracking. I have had a iPhone sit in China for 6 days before.
