Hey guys, seen some earlier posts on the forum with people discussing their experience with UPS and people replying with some insight. Can anyone explain what is happening here?

I ordered a 16" macbook pro with a RAM upgrade to the United Kingdom. Apple say its arriving on the 15th and UPS 16th.

So on April 9 Apple gives the package to UPS. At that point it’s out of Apple’s control. Apple will give you an estimated arrival date based on a formula that works great in normal times, but these are not normal times. Covid and all that... Since UPS actually has your package and has real time knowledge of conditions in your area I would believe their estimate over Apple’s. If you have the UPS tracking number track it from the UPS site. At this point Apple only knows what UPS is telling it so it makes sense to go straight to the source.

So, its not in the UK. In 6 days it has made it as far as Seoul Incheon. I guess international deliveries are really slowing down by Covid.

There’s another thread on here about how safe a package originating in China would be. When it does arrive you may do well to let it sit for at least 3 days to make sure any virus has died.
