So I'm going through my System profile and under Hardware Configuration, it says UPS Installed: No

What is this? Do I need to install it?

I believe UPS stands for Universal Power Supply. Basically one of those battery backup/surge protection systems, that you can connect via USB to view their status.

So no, there's nothing needed to install, since I'm assuming you don't have one.

UPS = Uninterrupted power supply = if you have a battery backup unit that can communicate with os x via USB/Ethernet then the system profiler will reflect this.

It stands for uninterruptible power supply they can be used to keep vital computational commands running for a small amount of time if you have a power failure.
