UPS lost my iphone 💔💔💔

Unfortunately, there is no interest from Apple 💔
UPS told me to sleep and wake up after 8 days, and maybe we will find it.😪😴

I sent a message to Cook and told Chris.. He has been sleeping for 3 days and has not woken up and did not care that the iPhone is missing and that the delivery date has passed 3 days ago.. Apple is in silent mode 🔕

Suddenly Apple and Coca-Cola woke up, evaded their mission of selling their products, made a replacement order and said to wait another month, knowing that my order was supposed to arrive on September 19th and suddenly it changed to October 10-17th and suddenly October 20th and suddenly October 22-24th and suddenly they lost my iPhone and suddenly a new order dated a month later November 10-17th!!! And the UPS employee is enjoying my iphone now.

Finally, Apple informed me that I can enjoy my lost iPhone. 🤣😂😭

This seems to happen every year for so many people and I am surprised Apple Support has not made means to cover people’s phones being stolen via their delivery suppliers.

For every new iPhone there is multiple threads here and on Reddit with this issue. Very disappointing.
Won’t be shocked if I see thread of someone’s trade-in being stolen, actually shocked I have not seen one of those yet because that issue also seems to persist yearly.

Do they keep charging you as well?

Sorry this happened to you. I had a fear of this happening this year along with my in-laws possibly not hearing the doorbell for delivery. For the first time, I chose ISPU and it was the easiest pickup ever. I highly recommend ISPU if you are near an Apple Store for the future, and I hope you eventually get to enjoy your new iPhone.

The funny thing is that he says feel free to contact me from 9 am to 6 pm and he has been evading it for 3 days, and the strange thing is that he is processing a refund without me asking, if you are unable to adhere to the times you have to close the stores, all of this is documented with photos and video so I will go to court because they failed to keep the appointments 3 times and I am demanding compensation.

I hope so, I waited 40 days and now I have to wait more

Do you truly believe you're directly corresponding with Tim Cook?

If anything, you are dealing with an executive department that handles emails sent to that account. You don't have direct email access to Tim. That department operates from 9am to 6pm, hence the hours. Tim's real email address won't be public. He doesn't need/want people directly contacting him. That's why it's a separate email address with an executive department to handle it.

Dan Hesse, who used to be the CEO of Sprint had an 'email' address. You sent email there, you got an exec department handling it - not Dan Hesse.

Same deal. Tim's too busy to be dealing with this sort of thing. Only if it's something the department thinks he should actually see, would it ever be brought to his attention. And then, any correspondence from him would come from the department's email address - not his.

Sorry if this sounds sarcastic, but it's reality.

That's really unfortunate. But usually Apple partners with FedEx to ship new iPhones.

Incidents with lost iPhones have occurred more with UPS. That UPS worker that stole $67,000 worth of iPhones should have been a red flag for Tim Cook at Apple to stop shipping their supply with UPS, but they don't care enough.

I usually order mine from my carrier and they get there within 2 days. I'm sorry this happened. If I were you I'd either do that or go to the nearest store to pick one up.

There is actually an office that reviews the emails send, or at least some of them.

Years back Apple switched to update security settings on Macbooks/OSX dynamically somthatbthey could deploy security fixes really fast.

I had a Cisco VPN solution running for work which was disabled by one of these security updates. For me that ment a lost day of work googling how to restore that. Back then corporate Mac support was not that common.

I was freelancing and was obviously furious and send a note to Tim.

Couple days later his office called, they asked few more questions and I think theynunderstood that their panicky security turn around was causing same damage as potential virus. They apologized.

So I think its fine ti send your grievance to them, that improves their processes.

Form the UPS thing, just file a claim with UPS. That will be hard to argue for them giving the uncommon delay. You can also call the apple store, they can open a claim as well.

Oh, that's not my issue. Send away (OP). But thinking that you are emailing the CEO of Apple directly and that he is going to see your email in his Inbox and handle your problem personally? Nah.

I can admit that in the 80s this may have been something that did happen. Jobs was notorious for directly writing people. But now? Someone will see it and someone may respond. But it won't be Tim Cook.

That's nice if you have a store in your area. We don't. And I'm not driving 80 miles to buy an iPhone. I've never in 13 years of buying iPhones had issues with FedEx or UPS.
I used to work inside the UPS West Coast Air Hub in Ontario, California during the 90s. There was a dedicated station called the PSC (Package Sort Center). PSC was there because every night something got ripped, torn, spilled, broken or otherwise damaged. If your package arrived with a massive amount of clear tape surrounding the box, it probably got taken to PSC.

One night I was was witness to an entire large tote on the belt system get stuck. Full of Next Day Air letters, the belt and roller system tore the tote to shreds and reduced every letter in it to confetti. I have 7+ years of stories about stuff that happened to packages, people and equipment that I either directly witnessed or was told about.

But, okay. That was 25+ years ago and as you said, this isn't anything you've ever had an issue with. My point is that it can happen.

7+ years with UPS, vested Teamster (Local 63) – I ship FedEx.

You don’t have a retail store of any kind that sells iPhones within 80 miles?

It's technically possible. Ex. If you live in Quartzsite, AZ, the closest Apple store is here in Phoenix, AZ. That's 129 miles and over an hour drive.

If apple or AT&T / Verizon etc would put the new iPhone in a bland looking box, we would always get the package without theft. Why the IMEI number & serial number pertaining to the phone is printed on a label affixed to the outside of the package is beyond me! All a person has to do is run that IMEI number online & see what's in the box.. Ups & FedEx have a bunch of thieves working there. Yes...this is happening more frequently now. Dang thieves...

This is why I always choose in store pickup. May not be ideal for everyone but both UPS and FedEx are getting worse every year.

You have not suffered until you have had DPD in Europe (UK here) throw your new iPad over the back fence of your house in the pissing rain and signed it for you.

T-Mobile too. They ship their phones in brightly colored bags that scream 'T-Mobile' all over them. And UPS doesn't knock, they just dump it on the porch. More than once, if I hadn't been watching the delivery track my phones would have been subject to porch pirates.

I did have my launch day iPhone 5 delivered in a brown cardboard box from Apple though. The iPhone box was inside that. Maybe it's different now?

It sucks when it happens but I am not surprised the parcel could have be lost or stolen and these carriers deliver hundreds of thousands of packages daily worldwide, is any delivery company perfect; no. Just submit a claim like a big boy and stop complaining on the internet for consoling.

Really? Bright colored bags... that's unusual. I've recently switched over to the Samsung galaxy S25 ultra specifically for the cameras & expert raw. Ive always upgraded to the new iPhone each year because of camera upgrades. But now the iPhone camera doesn't support my needs anymore.

So I wonder what the shipping boxes for samsung look like. Will they be recognized as a "phone in a box"? Either way, theft is on the rise regarding cell phones because of the way they are packaged & labeled. The shipper (ups, FedEx, etc) know exactly what the boxes for the iPhone look like and im sure it's tempting for someone to steal it.
