If you have signed up for UPS My Choice (free) you will be notified with the tracking # of any shipment via email, SMS, and from the UPS app. With the My Choice you can set preferences, change delivery dates & locations, and track the shipment.

I was notified overnight that my iphone 6 is ready to be processed and will be shipped Next Day Air from Mount Juliet, TN for its arrival this Friday. Unfortunately you can't do anything about the delivery time (commit time) - mine is "end of day".

Yeah I've signed up for it a while back and love it. The only thing is I've yet to receive a text from them yet about my shipment even though I have an email with a ups tracking number. I received the tracking info yesterday and as of today ups still has no info for it when I click on the link so that may be why.

Yup, great service. I got an email about some other delivery headed my way but nothing on my iphone order. Did so happen to log in just now and saw the tracking numbers for my iPhones. Maybe they'll send my email notification later this AM.

You can call UPS the night before delivery at approximately 9pm or a bit later and ask for the package to be held for pickup. It won't go on the truck and be held at the hub office where you can pick it up on Friday morning at 8 or 8:30 am.

I tried this and unfortunately my hub office doesn't open until 4:30 pm. Odd hours, but oh well.
