UPS or Fed Ex?

Does anyone have any idea of how they decide which carrier delivers your phone? Is it geographical? I ordered directly from Apple via the iPhone ap if that matters.

Apple.com is UPS. carrier sites are fedex

I've found FedEx for normal stuff and UPS for mass product launches.

Where's I'm at, Apple delivers via UPS with the USPS doing the last bit. So it is delivered by the mail carrier.

Apple uses both. Last year my iPhone 5s was delivered via UPS while the Apple leather case that I ordered at the same time was delivered by FedEx.
