Has anyone been able to schedule a delivery window if you're a UPS MyChoice premium member?

I'm not showing that option. On hold with UPS trying to figure it out, but it's not looking good...

I saw the option appear for a second, clicked on it/made me sign in again.
When i logged back in the option was gone

I had the option for mine, signed up for premium membership, went back to my tracking, and the option was gone. What's going on here!??

mine will not allow me to do anything with it...

I was planning to have it held at the UPS Depo and pick it up on the way in to work in the morning...Guess that isn't happening.

Its odd cause its not even showing as a delivery to my address based on the site. I tried adjusting it and changing it around and still will not work...Guess tomorrow will be a long ass night.

Yeah I talked to UPS and the MyChoice people specifically, and they both basically said there is nothing they can do. Unfortunately I'll just have to wait around until 8 or 9pm I'm guessing. Oh well...

The option for will call isn't available to you? That's strange.

I still don't udnerstand the UPS "crush". I understand on a countrywide scale sure. They're delivering millions of phones. But how many actually affect my regular daily driver's route in any city BUT New York? Like how many phones can my guy possibly have on his truck? 10? 20? I live in a semi-large city, 1,000,000+/- but I just don't see the impact. There are probably dozens if not hundreds of routes just in my city. There can't be that much impact to individual drivers.

I talked to an online chat rep today who got me all set up for Will Call - I even got a call from my local distribution center and the guy said that he can't see any reason why I can't just walk in and pick it up when they open tomorrow at 9am.

Will Call is available for me, but I'm not sure I believe it will magically be available in the morning. I'm not sure where the closest UPS facility is to me either, I think it might be downtown.

So I just called, yes it's downtown which is going to be a mad house tomorrow. I may get it later, but I'd rather relax.

I'm going to assume that when they had the tracking info right in front of them while I had them on the phone that they would have said something about it not being available right when they opened. As for where my distribution center is, I've had to pick things up from mine before - like when I ordered a new baseball hat before I was about to go away for the weekend for a 3 game MLB series and I needed to pick up the hat before going out of town.

My confirmation for picking up at UPS said it would be available when they open Friday. I don't see why it wouldn't be because it would otherwise be loaded on a truck by that time. We'll see.

I guess I'm not doubting it won't be there just that situations like these never cease to surprise me. I think it's a good idea if you live near a UPS facility which I don't unfortunately. I've gone to this facility before but it was for a package I missed over 3 attempts.

I believe you guys have until 2am-3am of the day it is being delivered, to use that option. Keep in mind it does cost $5 to pick a slotted time. For me when I am getting deliveries from UPS, the option does not show up until midnight for some reason.

According to Maps my UPS location is 9.8 miles, 16 min drive away from my house.

I had several issues registering for My Choice today (which is actually how I ended up with a chat rep instead) - if they try to charge me $5 when I go to pick it up I'm going to bring up how much of a pain in the ass it's already been and see if they waive it. So far it sounds like they have no intention of charging me.

Even 20 extra houses to visit in a day for each driver takes a lot of time. Apple pre-sold 20 Million of these things! Guarantee you that there are way more than 20 average on each truck. When I bought my last iPhone, the UPS person was miserable. Said they were totally overloaded.

Just did the live chat with UPS and my package is being held at the HUB and will be available to pick up at 8:30am. I will be waiting at the door at 8:15.

Nope. Didn't see it either so I called. They told me they aren't offering it for iPhone. Sux.

It's free for Premium members. IF the option is there.

Do the online chat support. Apple refused to offer this service on the iPhone but the chat support people will place a hold on it for you.

Oh they placed the hold for me. I always saw that as an option. I was referring to the option to have a 2 hour window for delivery to my home. That's something usually available that they're saying is not available for iPhone delivery.

You can only do it if your package has an approximate delivery time already (even then, only sometimes). My apple package says "by end of day" so it has no option. This is because you can only pick 2 hours within the 4 hour approximate window they give you. I have another package coming from Amazon Friday so I used that to set the delivery time (since they should be on the same truck).

Thats a genius idea. Next time I'm gonna coordinate an Amazon package to get delivered same day, then pick an early time and see if that works. I'm gonna PM you tomorrow to see if this worked!

I am a premium member.... and they still charge me, if what you are saying is true then UPS owes me some money.
