So I placed an order for a Macbook about ten days ago. It shipped on Monday this week. The Macbook was ready to ship already over the weekend but they didn't ship it and that's understandable. Come Monday, I get this,

and then this,

I guess it all sorted out in the end as come Wednesday, it got stuck in Ontario for:

A day later it cleared and apparently was on it's way. But, it's in Transit from Kentucky. I live in Canada, why does my Macbook have to clear customs and then go to the states again?

Now today, on the UPS tracking page, they removed that whole Kentucky thing and now it's back in Ontario, with this again,

I need some advice on what I can do to speed up this thing. It's been 5 days since it shipped and it hasn't even reached my door. I chose to pay extra for the expedited shipping but I guess that doesn't even seem to help at all.

Customs is usually the culprit when shipping outside the US. I had a package shipped to me via UPS on 26 September and it arrived in my country on 02 October. I still do not have the UPS shipment, it is still tied up with Customs! First USP claimed that their computer had a virus, then customs had the virus. Now since it is more than 2 months to deliver my package UPS considers my package abandoned by me and the shipper. They now have to assign a new tracking number to my package. They still can not give me a delivery date.

So if your package is a few days late be glad, mine is 2.5 months and counting late! Thanks USP!

I think people are starting to abuse this whole "email sjobs" deal. Call apple, they will handle it. And fast, since its the holidays!

I've had to email sjobs once, and it was last week, because they were charging me 900 bucks to fix something that was their fault. After the email was sent, apple got back to me in two days and my computer was fixed. I think it should be used, but only as a last resort, and if necessary (computer still not shipped in a few weeks)

Seems like these threads always pop up from time to time and it's either someone frustrated with FedEx or UPS. Someone mentioned on here that they try never to ship UPS because of all the problems they've had. Well, I think all the companies have their problems because guess what, I'm just the opposite -- I despise FedEx and can honestly say that out of 5 packages from them in the last two weeks, ONE arrived on time on the day it was supposed to.

But anyway, for the person asking whether he could get a refund for "free shipping", the answer is yes. I called Apple last week after my laptop didn't arrive for a couple days beyond the projected date (note: shipping was free) and they barely hesitated and gave me a $50 refund on my purchase for the inconvenience. Long story short, be honest and nice about it and they're likely to help you out.

I am having it delivered to a place about an hour from London,, so I guess it could still go awry.

i'm pretty sure the UPS tracking system is flawed and doesn't necessarily represent the actual path. i've been tracking my 27" iMac order several times a day since last thursday (it's now early monday morning).

Shanghai > Anchorage > Louisville > Buffalo > and it's currently in Mount Hope (mount where?). anyway, i just noticed that the listing changed. suddenly there's a new entry, according to the tracking on the UPS site, it arrived in Mount Hope yesterday, before going to Buffalo and then back to Mount Hope right now. clearly, this is an error, but i just watched an episode of Lost and it's kinda messing with my head.

Another error i've noticed is that for the first few days of the tracking, it said it was scheduled to arrive today, but this was removed on saturday night and now it doesn't say anything about scheduled delivery date.
