Pretty apple box inside protected by ugly box on the outside with 0.5-2.9lbs of packing peanuts around it. 🙂

I just noticed that the box arriving tomorrow with my Apple Watch (38mm Stainless Steel, Classic Band) has a shipping weight of 2.8lbs. It's a bit more than what I was expecting. Granted, the USB C to VGA adapter for my MacBook came in at 0.5 lbs, but I wonder what's in the box that weighs so much.

I ordered a 42mm SS w/ Milanese and UPS says its 2.7lbs 😛

My 42mm SS w/ Milanese is 3.10 lbs.

My 42mm SS Milanese says 2.7lbs

Some people say there is 1.0lb so may be by accident they have put two watches.

I don't think it matters at this point what the actual weight is. Apple isn't paying the cost of each individual box. These things are shipping in pallets, and are probably being charged per pallet, not weight.

You know UPS had to make a deal to be the premier shipping partner...discounts had to be made.
