If that's true, they won't get anything from me lol. Why would anyone want to send junk mail through UPS?

Because it commands much more attention than just another bulk mailer from USPS. I've received refi offers from a company in Florida many times via FedEx overnight. I get the ship notice and am intrigued only to find junk mail in a FedEx envelope.

Never heard of such a practice. It'll be a first for me. Bunch of jackasses for stirring up the OP and my excitement over nothing and creating endless entertainment for the others posting in this thread.

Agreed. This thread is pointless- Apple won't hand over the watch anyway to UPS or FedEx without charging your credit card first :D

UPS surepost is a combo service where UPS hands off to the USPS for final delivery. I don't think Apple has used this or the equivalent Fedex service in the past. I really hope that they aren't using this service, Amazon does and it is a nightmare.

My past notifications for Apple delivery via UPS have always said the sender was Apple.

I don't mind it because I live in an apartment complex and UPS/ FedEx won't leave packages if I am not home. I have to wait and then drive all the way out to the UPS facility. USPS has the locked box, so it is great for me with smaller :apple: Watch sized packages.

The downside is when the box is too big, then dealing with picking up packages at USPS is a nightmare.

I can second this experience. Back in January a Priority Mail envelope addressed to me from a place called EMP Inc. / SKHC was sent to my parents' house from Wisconsin. I haven't lived there in 8 years and so my dad sent me a picture of the bulky envelope asking if I knew anything about it. I didn't and told him to just open it and tell me what was inside.

I spent the time between his first message and his second in a state of frenzied excitement Googling the company name and address and trying to figure out what it could possibly be, imagining the possibilities, wondering if it was a mistake, basically going nuts. His second message arrived and the picture wouldn't load and this just sent me over the edge. The fact that he had taken a picture but not said what it was, I messaged him back saying the picture was blank and then I tried using every client and service available to recover the picture and see it. Finally I managed to load it and guess what it was? A medical supply catalog for educators trying to get them to buy classroom resources. I told him to throw it away.

At this point, I would agree. We got sucked into the reality distortion field.. I promise to be a much better contributor to the community going forward.

A colossal waste of time it seems...lol.

Okay, I am fairly confident that this UPS notification is not apple related at all. I received the same email on April 7th saying the package would be delivered on the 10th, but nothing ever happened. I contacted UPS and they said that the package was never released to them by the sender and the delivery date was automated and a best guess kind of thing. They then told me to contact the sender. It's now the 20th and the package hasn't been updated at all since the 7th when the label was created. Then on the 17th I received another email from UPS saying I have another package coming from Metro Custom Brokers, which says it will be here on the 22nd. I have no idea what these packages could be, but I haven't ordered any apple products, and I'm sure it's not anything else that I ordered as I keep an eye on all pending orders I have from various retailers. It must be some kind of time sensitive thing where there is a street date for it, or it's a bogus thing all together. It's kind of reassuring that I'm not the only one who has a supposed mystery package coming from MCB. I hope we find out soon what this is all about.

Yeah it seems all google searches point to this thread lol. I haven't checked. It certainly caused a bunch of unnecessary excitement for those of us who have the watch on order.

I am going to try and give them a call after work today and see if I can find anything out.

Called and it ended up being someones personal line. The person said that I dialed the right number, but they have the wrong number online.

Wow. 8 pages in this thread and not one notification. You guys must be antsy. Go take a walk in the park. The Apple Watch isn't going make you lose weight by itself, you still have to walk it off. :p

Oh... I missed something then. I've been binging on Doritos for the past week assuming the Watch would sort it all out in the end.

This mystery package still hasn't shipped. All signs point to it being some kind of junk mail anyway. I think we can put this thread to bed.

That looks like a classic case of phishing. Hopefully none of you clicked any links in that email.

It wasn't a phishing email. When I log into the UPS site, the tracking info is there so that part was at least legit lol.

Wow, that is strange. Mystery package from mystery company with a wrong phone number. If that thing shows up, I'd return to sender.

Keep us updated.

I got a FedEx shipment email yesterday and was super excited. But it was for a pet gate I ordered. Lame.

So... not to revive this old thread but the mystery is solved. OBVIOUSLY, it wasn't the watch. That came separately.

It would seem Nerdblock has switched from Canadapost to UPS for this months blocks.

Metro Custom Brokers are the company handling their shipping hence, the strange label.

I got an email this afternoon from Nerdblock saying my Arcadeblock is shipping this week and wouldn't you know, it's the same tracking number. So the one other thing OP and I had in common turned out to be the mystery item.

Hope you all had a great laugh. I'm laughing now at the silliness of this thread. My what the hype machine can do to a person.

Hope you're all enjoying your watches! I'm on my first full day with mine and love it so far. Cheers!

I got one of these and found that the company SHIRT PUNCH is now using Metro Custom Brokers to send out their shipments.
