Despite preordering my iPhone XS as soon as preorders went live, it looks like UPS/Apple dropped the ball big time. My iPhone was supposed to be delivered today but tracking shows that it just cleared customs and now it says delivery date pending. Apple customer service is so far unhelpful, claiming that despite all the evidence otherwise that it will still be delivered today.

Couple this with the emails some customers received about their in store pickup being delayed as well, it looks like UPS/Apple really screwed up this release.

My beer is warm
Well you know those Typhoons.....

Sure it is their fault. My phone didn’t even make it to UPS until the 19th. They very easily could have shipped it earlier. The whole point of preorder is that they have the stock available to arrive on launch day.

I agree it’s just a phone and honestly am not freaking out about it, just a little bummed that for the first time since doing the iPhone preorders that my phone will not be here on launch day to play with.
