My MacBook Air was supposed to be delivered on Friday, but UPS delayed it for some unknown reason and it is coming in today. I will be at work, my question is - is a signature required? In the UPS app it does not say it is a signature required delivery Just wanted to know what your experience was.

Thank you in advance for your help!

I had to sign for my M2 MacBook Air on Friday, it also didn't say on UPS it required a signature.

Mine was supposed to arrive Friday too. Delayed for unknown reasons. Delivery for today. Doesn’t show signature required. I’m off today with kids. Summer camp is closed on Mondays.

I signed up to UPS My Choice so I could presign for deliveries. I no longer sign for UPS for my wife or I with UPS, they just drop it under my camera on at my front door.

My Mac Studio required a signature, but my Studio Display did not; don't know what to tell you.

Mine delivered last night at 715pm - he just dropped at the door and didn't even ring the doorbell! I have a Ring so it caught the movement and alerted me.

I think signature is technically required, but a lot of the drivers don't seem to care.

BTW, I have the UPS My Choice membership thing, but can't find a pre-signature option... does it have to be closer to my delivery date? (It's this Friday)

He didn’t ring door bell either. My doorbell camera picks up all packages and movements. It alerts me. Should package be removed it alerts me as well. I opened door as soon I received alert. He was hopping on his truck when I retrieved package.

So Monday July 18, get an email that my MBA2 which was supposed to arrive AUG 2-8 when I special ordered it (512 Gb SSD, 16 GB Ram) was SHIPPED fed ex, standard from china and Apple to arrive July 25, but initially fed ex said, July 21, but it was actually delivered today, July 19. NO signature required. The oddest delivery I have ever had from Apple (and I have had a lot lol). First time drastically early. First time no signature. But this was fed ex. Cleary these times are still difficult on projections.

can you explain how you did that? I cannot find that option on UPS's website or the app and I'm also using My Choice.
When you choose the details under the package tracking number while in the UPS my choice menu, it'll pop up with options below whether to hold or do some miscellaneous thing to the package, one of them should be something relating to authorization release. If you don't have that, it may be too late already. usually you want to put the release authorization on the package when you are first notified of the package, and usually it drops off the list a little before delivery day. At least that's how I experienced it.

Yeah...as mentioned in the reply above, it usually shows up as an option in the My Choice app/website. If it's not there, they might be limiting it this go around.

Apple always requires a signature for computer deliveries. If you did not have to provide one UPS/Fedex either knows you, or you have one on file. Never pre-sign as your delivery person know a shipment from AI and your chances of theft increase. Pick up at the delivery center.
