Did you ask for a receipt when you dropped it off at the UPS Store?

UPS weighs you package multiple times on its journey. They can go back and see shen the weight, all of a sudden, changed.

Now, we hope UPS will be honest. UPS, like other companies are having trouble finding enough “qualified” employees to fill it‘s ranks and they have had to drop their standards to do so.

I sent an iPhone 6s to Apple for a battery repair. UPS lost the package or maybe it was stolen like you said. After months of waiting and contacting Apple I finally got sent to someone that makes a lot of money lol … she sent me a brand new replacement phone. Hopefully they will do the same.

However, I used to work at UPS, and it’s not exactly super easy to steal electronics from the hub as they have metal detectors. Also, you cant even bring in your own phone until you’ve been there a while.

I did hear of people stealing iPods back in the day at the hub I worked at, the only thing I can think of is hiding it in your steel towed boots. However they usually look when you enter or exit the building. Metal detectors and wands. Also ask to take off your shoes if they want.

Perhaps it was stolen or “fell” off a truck. Usually the flammable battery logo gives away what’s in the little rectangle box.

They used to only promote or hire people from within. When I worked there at the hub everyone started as a loader.

I was with same situation last year when returning AW7. But it was not stolen I did not write number of refund on the box.

It takes a lot of weeks to get my money back but I had receipts about shipping and about delivering to Apple, so as you have all documents (or it can be tracked at UPS), you are fine.

besides the weight also have pictures of the phone inside the box and the box

Never had it happen on a return for a trade in. But UPS is slipping big lately. Delivery of my 14PM wasn’t delivered the day it was supposed (I thought it was stolen and got one in store). UPS has never missed a delivery date on an iPhone release date.

Last night I received a AW braided solo loop I was supposed to get on the 4th. It looked like the driver sat on it for a week. I had already started an investigation with UPS and Apple had already reimbursed me for it. I returned it today.

If you don’t have a UPS account create one and open an investigation through it. May be quicker than calling. Then call Apple and let them know. I see you got a drop off receipt, so you should be good. Least you have proof of the drop of and the weight.

Good luck. 👊🫤👍
