The corners are ragged and scrape the hand in a very unpleasant way when holding the phone. It feels terrible to hold and use.

Where did you order this from? Perhaps a knock off? Or a faulty case. All of mine are pleasant to hold. More so than several of my past cases for previous iPhones.
The screws are fake. However, the case looks pretty fun for the few times I want extra protection from drops. And don't want one that looks like all the others . . .
It's not faulty. It is what it is. The corners protrude the edges and it feels like crap in the hand. It's a terrible sensation to feel these jagged edges.
Not a big deal. I just ordered a speck candy shell grip to see if I like it better.
This will be my 4th case.
Speck candy shell was not bad but I got bored of it. Too slick and shiny in the hand.
Switch easy was ok but too slippery and loose.
UA is not good. Feels terrible in the hand with the protruding edges.

No, just for looks. Would be great if you could use then to tighten down the case, so it could be made looser to fit glass screen guards and other things
After a few days the edges have softened up a little.
So, it's not as crappy as stated.
Out of the box it's very rough. After a few days its feels a lot better.
Waiting on my candy shell grip in the meantime.

I take it back. The rubber lip on the bottom is now totally sagging downward and is no longer tight. Looks terrible. Will totally fall apart after removing from case many times.
Garbage case. Shame cuz it looks so amazing in the pics. Another Chinese miracle.

I had the same issue with mine after 3 days of use. I returned it. Now just rolling naked!
Bought a black purple candy shell grip at AT&T a little while ago. So far so good.
$43 is an epic fail though.
