Urgent finder question for Yosemite mac

Hi, I notice that when I want to browse for files using the finder window. it shows "Today" files and then "Previous 7 days" files.

Is there any way this view can be more granuler ie "today", "yesterday" ... and then further, by individual dates?

Yes, you create Smart Folders, and you define the parameters. "Today" is a Smart Folder.
