I am really in need of help as I have been using Dreamweaver to create a website for my friend but I don't know how to get it onto the web. At the moment all that happens when I go to the site is I get a page saying 'Index of /' ans a list of the files I have uploaded. If you want clarification the site is www.thebridgesmusic.co.uk . How do I make a page come up instead of this?
Thanks in Advance

Hi
Well done on getting a site up and running. All you have to do is rename your construction.htm file to index.html and the it will appear when anyone goes to your domain www.thebridgesmusic.co.uk.

You can call your pages whatever you like, and link to them as normal e.g. <a href="pagename.html">Go to pagename.html</a>, but the first page you want to show up when someone goes to your domain MUST be called index.html (or equivilant file format).

Hope this helps, Andrew

Thanks!

I know it must seem like such a simple thing but thank you so much...I know it might be a bit cheeky but could I possibly contact you if I have any further problems? It shouldn't be too much just random stuff like that.

Thanks
Ryan
